How to request support via Conversations

We have recently introduced a new feature on our webapp called Conversations


What is Conversations? This feature allows the user to communicate with other users within their org/team on a particular container tracking page by tagging them on it, as well as the Portcast support team. This helps streamline communication so any inquiries or comments about a specific container are directly linked to its individual tracking page.


For example:

  • If another team member is in charge of data upload, and you notice a blank field or error, you may want to tag them on the shipment itself to notify them and gain clarity. 
  • If you have a question about the resulting Portcast data being displayed, you can tag ' @Portcast Support ' including your inquiry details, and our support team will be notified. We respond to such support requests within 24-48 hours. 


Important note: A user must be tagged (using ' @ ' to mention them) in order to receive an email notification to check the container tracking page, otherwise they may miss the comment/inquiry in the Conversations box. 




Step 1: Click the container # to open up the individual container tracking page. 



Step 2: Click the Conversations tab. 



Step 3: Tag the person you would like to notify, along with the message you'd like to communicate to them. 


Note: For Portcast Support, as you type in: ' @Portcast ' you will see support@portcast.io which is the appropriate user to tag to contact our team. 



Step 4: Click the Send button.
