How to share container tracking pages

Keep your stakeholders in the loop

Our platform allows your to generate custom URLs that can be shared throughout your supply chain network. Recipients of the links can access container information for the select shipment even if they are not a user on the Portcast platform. 

Instructions to share your container info

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to generate a URL

Step 1: Select a shipment that you want to share

• Click on the Container Number that you would like to share;
• A Container Tracking page will open in a New Tab.

Step 2: Generate a URL

• Click on the share icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen; 
• This will generate a URL that gets copied to your clipboard (e.g. https://app.portcast.io/container-tracking/54f0b1ec-dd86-4315-bb98-de041359332f)

If you are using Portcast APIs, you might have noticed that the format of the URL mirrors Portcast Container Bookmark ID that gets generated at the time of the upload (see highlighted font in yellow).

Step 3: Share it with stakeholders

• Proceed to share the link in your preferred communication tool or email.
