Adding Containers via Portcast Web App

To begin tracking your containers on Portcast, you will need to upload the containers you would like to track. To do so, visit https://app.portcast.io/ which will bring you to the Container Tracking module.
If you are already on the app, click on the following icon,which will redirect you to the container tracking module.
Next, click the [ + ] button on the top right-hand corner of the page. From here, you may choose the method most suitable for you in adding containers.
Method 1: Manual Entry
Step 1: If you are uploading a small number of containers (up to 7), you can simply input your container details directly into the cells provided.
Our system requires the following
- Carrier number
- Container number
- BL [optional]

Step 2: Once you’ve input this data, click DONE. Our system will start processing your containers.
Method 2: Bulk Upload via CSV
Step 1: To upload large quantity of containers from an existing file, drag and drop your file to this section of the page, or click Browse Files and add your document. Note: you may also use Portcast sample file by clicking on 'Download Sample CSV'.
Step 2: The next screen allows you to map columns in your file to the key fields: Container number, Carrier number, BL number.
Step 3: Once you’ve made the selection, click DONE. Our system will start processing your containers. If the upload has been successful - you'll see the following success message.
